Abhishek Rijal
Abhishek Rijal (; born 29 January 2000) is a Nepali professional footballer who plays as a forward for Aizawl FC in the I-League and the Nepal national team. Club career Rijal played for the Nepal Police football club. He was one of the young prospects there then he was loaned to Manang Marsyangdi and went on to scoring in AFC Cup and become the first Nepali Footballer to score in AFC Cup. With Kolkata based Mohammedan Sporting, he won the 2019–20 I-League 2nd Division tournament and helped the team qualifying for the 2020–21 I-League season. He currently plays in the I-League for Aizawl FC in India. International career Rijal played his first match in international level against Malaysia as a substitute then he played his first match as a starter against Chinese taipei and went on to score in that match. Aizawl FC
Aizawl Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Aizawl, Mizoram. The club competes in the I-League, the second tier of Indian football league system. Founded in 1984, Aizawl earned entry in I-League in 2015–16 season, after winning the 2015 I-League 2. Nicknamed "the people's club", it became first club from the Northeast to win a top flight Indian football league. They also participate in Mizoram Premier League. Aizawl also went on to compete in continental stages, while the club appeared in 2017 edition of AFC Cup. 2019–20 2nd Division League
The 2020 I-League qualifiers (also known as Hero I-League Qualifiers 2020 for sponsorship reasons) was the 13th season of I-League 2nd Division, the second division of Indian football league, since its establishment in 2008. The league was kicked-off from 25 January 2020. The season was shortened due to COVID-19 pandemic in India and Mohammedan won the league, being promoted to 2020–21 I-League. Teams This season, 17 teams participated, including one reserve side from I-League (Punjab) and eight from Indian Super League ( ATK, Jamshedpur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennaiyin, Mumbai City, Goa and Kerala Blasters).
