Elshad Islam oglu Abdullayev ( az, Elşad Abdullayev; born 25 September 1961, Kurdamir) is an Azerbaijani lawyer and former university rector who gained wide popularity in 2012 after producing and publishing hidden camera videos, raising public and international awareness of corruption in the Azerbaijani government. Hayat Abdullayeva (14 October 1912, Derbent - 21 April 2006, Baku) - an Azerbaijani sculptor, and honoured art worker. Biography Hayat Hamdulla qizi Abdullayeva was born on 14 October 1912 in the city of Derbent. She was the daughter of the famous fish merchant Hamdulla Abdullayev. After the execution of her father, she was exiled with her mother to Kazakhstan. In 1942, she entered the evacuated Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (now Repin Institute of Arts), from Leningrad to Samarkand. In those years, she created the sculptures "Tutu khanim" and "Hasan bey Zardabi". She became the first Azerbaijani woman in the field of easel sculpture. Aida Hamdulla gizi Abdullayeva (23 April 1922, Baku – 11 April 2009, Baku) was an Azerbaijani Soviet harpist, teacher, professor at the Baku Music Academy, founder of the Azerbaijan School of Harp Performance, Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1972). She is known as the first Azerbaijani harpist. Life and education Aida Abdullayeva was born on 23 April 1922 in Baku. Alasgar Abdullayev or Shakili Alasgar ( az, Ələsgər Abdullayev; 1866 — 1 April 1929) was an Azerbaijani khananda. Biography Shakili Alasgar was born in Nukha (present-day Shaki) in 1866.
