Abdulhamid Minouchehr
Abdolhamid Minouchehr (; 6 June 1962 – 13 June 2025) was an Iranian nuclear physicist and nuclear engineer. He served as the head of the Faculty of Nuclear Engineering at Shahid Beheshti University. Minouchehr was killed during the June 2025 Israeli strikes on Iran. Life and career Abdolhamid Minouchehr was born on 6 June 1962 in the city of Tehran. After completing his education in nuclear engineering and earning a PhD from Moscow State University, Minouchehr joined the faculty of Shahid Beheshti University. His specialization was in nuclear reactors, and he conducted significant research in nuclear simulation, advanced nuclear fuel design, and increasing the efficiency and safety of nuclear power plants. He also served as the editor-in-chief of the electronic journal ''Nuclear Technology and Energy''. Assassinations Of Iranian Nuclear Scientists
Since 2010, multiple Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed in foreign-linked assassinations. Five were killed from 2010 to 2020 by car bombings or shootings. Fereydoon Abbasi was among the scientists who survived an assassination attempt in 2010, an assassination that killed another nuclear scientist, Majid Shahriari. Seyyed Amir Hossein Feghhi
Seyed Amir Hossein Feghhi (September 11, 1978 – June 13, 2025) was an Iranian nuclear engineer and academic, recognised for his contributions to the field of nuclear physics and nuclear engineering. He was the Deputy of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and a faculty member at Shahid Beheshti University (SBU). He was killed during the opening attacks of the Iran–Israel war. Saeed Borji (; 1958 – 14 June 2025) was an Iranian nuclear physicist and nuclear engineer. Life and career Born in 1958 in Abadan, Borji was the founder of the Petrochemical companies Azar Afrouz Saeed Engineering Company and Arvin Kimia Abzar. Borji graduated with a PhD in mechanical engineering from Malek Ashtar University. He participated in Iran's nuclear program from 1980 until his death. Death Borji was one of the targets of the Israeli bombings in Iran for being a nuclear engineer on 14 June 2025 in Tehran. Fereydoon Abbasi-Davani (; 11 July 1958 – 13 June 2025) was an Iranian nuclear scientist and politician who was head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran from 2011 to 2013. A principlist who also served in the Iranian Parliament, he was killed in an airstrike by Israel on 13 June 2025. He had previously been wounded in an assassination attempt in 2010.
