Harunur Rashid Khan Monno (17 August 1932 – 1 August 2017) was a Bangladeshi industrialist and politician. He served as the Chairman of his conglomerate, Monno Group of Industries. He was elected a member of parliament and a minister (without portfolio) of the Government of Bangladesh. He was also an adviser to Bangladesh National Party Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Career While Monno was a student of chartered accountancy, he joined Adamjee Haji Dawood's company in the accounts department. His first assignment was to print export register copies for the Adamjee conglomerate company. Within two years, he established a press company of his own. The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350 seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. Elected occupants are called Member of Parliament, or MP.
