Abdul Ahad Karzai
Abdul Ahad Karzai (1922 – 14 July 1999) was an Afghan politician, who served as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Afghanistan under King Zahir Shah in the 1960s. He was the son of Khair Mohammad Khan and brother of Habibullah and Azizullah Karzai. His sons are the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai and his brothers Ahmed Wali, Mahmud and Qayum. He is also the uncle of Hekmat Karzai. As head of the Popalzai Pashtun tribe, Abdul Ahad Karzai moved with his family from Kandahar to the capital Kabul upon his election to the Parliament. He began criticizing the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan and was imprisoned for three years, at which point his family's properties were confiscated. Abdul Ahad Momand (; born 1959) is a Afghan-German and former Afghan Air Force aviator who became the first, and currently only, Afghan citizen to journey to outer space. He became one of Soyuz TM-6 crew members and spent nine days aboard the Mir space station in 1988 as an Intercosmos Research Cosmonaut. He holds many records as an Afghan Astronaut. Ignatius Peter VIII Abdalahad (born Peter Gregory Abdalahad; 30 June 1930 – 4 April 2018) was patriarch of Antioch and all the East of the Syriac Catholic Church. He served as patriarch from 2001 to 2008, when he resigned and retired. Biography He was ordained priest on October 17, 1954 and consecrated bishop on June 21, 1997 by Syriac Catholic Patriarch Ignatius Antony II Hayyek, and served as auxiliary bishop of Antioch till his appointment as Primate and Patriarch of the Syriac Catholic Church on February 16, 2001. Abdul Ahad (18 January 1918 – 14 May 1996) was a Bangladeshi composer, music director and singer. He was the recipient of Independence Day Award in 1978. The Government of Pakistan awarded him Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 1962 and Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1969 for his contribution to music. Early life Ahad was born in Rajshahi in the then Bengal Presidency. He took lessons from Ustad Bali and Ustad Manju Sahib. He took part in the All-Bengal Music Competition in 1936 and stood first in the Thumri and Ghazal section. Abdul Ahad Wardak
Abdul Ahad Khan Wardak (c. 1880–1949) was a politician from northern Afghanistan. Life Wardak was the son of Kazi Ghulam and belonged to the Ismail Khel tribe of the Ghilzai confederacy from Wardak province. He held the title of " Sardar-i-Ala.". From 1909 to 1916 Abdul Ahad was chief of Ushera, Arzbegi district for Amir Habibullah Khan, next appointed Governor of Qataghan-Badakhshan Province. He was later arrested with his brother for the assassination of Amir Habibullah Khan in 1919 and jailed, but was later released by Amanullah Khan.
