Abdelrahman Sameh
Abdelrahman Sameh ( ar, عبد الرحمن سامح, born 9 March 2000) is an Egyptian swimmer. He won the bronze medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in the 50 metre freestyle. He made the final in the men's 50 metre butterfly at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships, finishing 8th. At the second stop of the 2023 swimming world cup series in Athens, Sameh won gold in the 50 metre butterfly and competed in the men's 50 metre butterfly at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships The 2019 World Aquatics Championships were the 18th FINA World Aquatics Championships, held in Gwangju, South Korea from 12 to 28 July 2019. The city had previously hosted the 2015 Summer Universiade aquatics events in the same venues.

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is an international multi-sport event for athletes between 15 and 18 years old, organized by the International Olympic Committee. The games are held every four years in staggered summer and winter events consistent with the current Olympic Games format, though in reverse order with Olympic Winter Games held in leap years instead of Summer Olympic Games. The first summer version was held in Singapore from 14 to 26 August 2010 while the first winter version was held in Innsbruck, Austria from 13 to 22 January 2012. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). 2023 World Aquatics Championships
The 2023 World Aquatics Championships, the 20th edition of the FINA World Aquatics Championships, will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, between 14 to 30 July 2023. Originally scheduled to be held in 2021, the championships were postponed until May 2022 in response to the rescheduling of the  2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was pushed back a second time to 2023 due to ongoing travel restrictions and safety measures in place in Japan. In its place, Budapest hosted the 19th Championships from 18 June to 3 July 2022. It will be the second time Fukuoka hosts this meet, 22 years after the 2001 World Aquatics Championships.
