Abdelghani Demmou
Abdelghani Demmou ( ar, عبد الغني دمو; born January 29, 1989) is an Algerian football player who currently plays for MC Alger in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. He commonly plays as a centre back. Club career In the summer of 2009, Demmou was linked with a move to MC Oran. However, his club, SA Mohammadia, refused to sell the player. In the summer of 2010, Demmou was again linked with a move away from his club, this time to USM El Harrach. SA Mohammadia put a 5 million Algerian dinars price tag on the player. He ended up joining the club in July with the transfer details not disclosed. On May 1, 2011, Demmou was a starter for USM El Harrach in the 2011 Algerian Cup Final against JS Kabylie. Mohammadia, Mascara
Mohammadia is a town and commune in Mascara Province, Algeria. According to the 1998 census it has a population of 71,366. Mohammadia (formerly Perregaux during the French colonization) is a town in the province of Mascara, it is 80 km southeast of Oran and 35 km north of Mascara. The Algerian Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر) also known the Republic Cup ( ar, كأس الجمهورية), is a football competition in Algeria, pitting regional teams against each other. It was established in October 1962, three months after independence, and has been played yearly since then apart from 1990 and 1993. The most successful clubs in this competition are USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, ES Setif and MC Alger with eight trophies for each. The record for consecutive wins in the competition is only two, several teams have achieved such USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, MC Oran, JS Kabylie and MC Algiers. The 2014–15 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was the 53rd season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contested the league, with USM Alger as the defending champions. Following the death of Albert Ebossé Bodjongo, the Algerian Football Federation suspended all football indefinitely. The league resumed on Week 3 starting 12 September 2014, with all matches on that week were preceded with a minute silence in memory of Ebossé. 2015 CAF Super Cup
The 2015 CAF Super Cup (officially the 2015 Orange CAF Super Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 23rd CAF Super Cup, an annual football match in Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), between the winners of the previous season's two CAF club competitions, the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The match was played between ES Sétif of Algeria, the 2014 CAF Champions League winner, and Al-Ahly of Egypt, the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup winner. It was hosted by ES Sétif at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida on 21 February 2015. After a 1–1 draw, ES Sétif won 6–5 on penalties to become the first Algerian team to win the CAF Super Cup. The CAF Super Cup (also known as African Super Cup or for sponsorship reasons TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup) is an annual African association football competition contested between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The competition was first held in 1993 and is organized by the CAF. Egyptian clubs have the highest number of victories (12 titles), followed by Morocco with 5.
