Abby Cook (ice Hockey)
Abby Cook (born May 12, 1998) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who most recently played for PWHL Boston of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for PWHL Minnesota, the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) and Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). She played college ice hockey at Boston University. Early life Cook played four years with the Pursuit of Excellence hockey team. During the 2015–16 season, she recorded three goals and 11 assists to lead her team in scoring among defenceman. College career Cook began her collegiate career at Boston University during the 2016–17 season. During her freshman year, she appeared in all 37 games and recorded four goals and 11 assists. PWHL Boston
The Boston Fleet are a professional ice hockey team based in the Greater Boston area that competes in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They are one of the six charter franchises of the league. The team plays its home games at Tsongas Center. Plus–minus (sports)
Plus−minus (+/−, ±, plus/minus) is a sports statistic used to measure a player's impact, represented by the difference between their team's total scoring versus their opponent's when the player is in the game. Ice hockey In ice hockey, the plus–minus measures a player's goal differential. When a team that is at even-strength or shorthanded scores a goal, all players on the ice on the scoring team will register a plus while all players on the conceding team on the ice will register a minus. When a goal is scored by a team on the power play, no plus or minus points are awarded to either team. Empty net situations are treated the same as even-strength unless the team that scores is on the power play. Penalty shot goals are excluded. A player's plus−minus statistic is calculated for each game played. Sophie Jaques
Sophie Jaques (born October 16, 2000) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defender for the PWHL Vancouver of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for the Minnesota Frost where she won two Walter Cups. She was selected tenth overall by PWHL Boston in the 2023 PWHL Draft. Jaques played college ice hockey at Ohio State and won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2023. Susanna Jenni "Suski" Tapani (born 2 March 1993) is a Finnish multi-sport athlete who competes in ice hockey, ringette, and in-line hockey. Metropolitan Riveters
The Metropolitan Riveters (originally the New York Riveters) were a professional women's ice hockey team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with home games at the American Dream Meadowlands ice rink. They were one of the four charter franchises of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), later known as the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Its team name and logo were based upon Rosie the Riveter, the subject of the World War II-era motivational poster " We Can Do It!". The Riveters played one season in Brooklyn before moving to the New Jersey Devils practice rink in Newark, New Jersey, in 2016. The team then formed a promotional affiliation with the Devils and were renamed the Metropolitan Riveters; the partnership ended in 2019. 2020–21 SDHL Season
