''Abbottella'' is a genus of Operculum (gastropod), operculate land snails, terrestrial animal, terrestrial gastropod mollusks gastropod in the family Pomatiidae. The generic name ''Abbottella'' is in honor of Dr. W. L. Abbott.This means either William Louis Abbott (1860-1936), or William James Lewis Abbott (1853-1933) Distribution The distribution of ''Abbottella'' includes List of non-marine molluscs of Cuba, Cuba (one species ''Abbottella decolorata'' in Guantánamo, the easternmost point on Cuba) and List of non-marine molluscs of Hispaniola, Hispaniola (all other species). ''Abbottella'' species are a highly endemic group of land snails living in Hispaniola with a single species in eastern Cuba. Most are known chiefly from Puerto Plata (city), Puerto Plata to the Samaná Peninsula in the Cordillera Septentrional that forms the northern coast of the Dominican Republic.
