Abbas Afridi (cricketer)
Mohammad Abbas Afridi (born 5 April 2001) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Personal life Abbas Afridi was born on 5 April 2001 in Federally Administered Tribal Areas. He is the nephew of former Pakistan international cricketer and fellow fast bowler Umar Gul. Domestic career In September 2018, Afridi made his List A debut for Habib Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup. In October 2018, he made his first-class debut for Habib Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. In December 2019, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He remained leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in the tournament. In February 2021, he joined Karachi Kings for the 2021 PSL. The next month, he made his Twenty20 debut for the team. 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. Following the conclusion of each match, the teams played each other in a List A fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were the defending champions. In April 2018, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) won the Patron's Trophy Grade-II tournament to qualify for this years' edition of the competition. ZTBL won their opening fixture of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, against Lahore Blues, by 151 runs. Prior to the start of the tournament, two players were dropped by their teams. The Afrīdī ( ps, اپريدی ''Aprīdai'', plur. ''Aprīdī''; ur, آفریدی) are a Pashtun tribe present in Pakistan, with substantial numbers in Afghanistan. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. 2021 Pakistan Super League
The 2021 Pakistan Super League (also known as PSL 6 or for sponsorship reasons HBL PSL 2021) was the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. It was initially scheduled to be the second season held entirely in Pakistan in February and March 2021, after the previous seasons were held elsewhere due to the security situation there. On 4 March 2021, the PCB suspended the tournament with 14 of the scheduled 30 group matches having been played after multiple cases of COVID-19 were recorded. In March, the PCB proposed to reschedule the remaining fixtures for June 2021 with all matches to be held in Karachi, however, on 4 May, all the teams asked the PCB to move to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because of a surge in COVID-19 cases in Pakistan.
