Abandon All Ships
Abandon All Ships was a Canadian post-hardcore band from Toronto, Ontario. Formed in 2006, it was signed domestically to Universal Music Group, Universal Music Canada via Underground Operations, along with an American deal to Rise Records and its imprint Rise Records#Velocity Records, Velocity Records. History Formation and self-titled debut EP (2006–2009) Abandon All Ships was founded in 2006 in Toronto, Ontario, originally playing covers of Norma Jean (band), Norma Jean songs. The band started when the members were in 8th grade doing screamo and pop punk. Most of the band members attended Dante Alighieri Academy, including lead vocalist Angelo Aita, keyboardist Sebastian Cassisi-Nunez, and original guitarist David Stephens; Toronto friends Martin Broda and Francesco Pallotta were added on bass and drums respectively. Much is a Canadian English language discretionary specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. It is headquartered at 299 Queen Street West in what was once called the MuchMusic World Headquarters. This channel was originally launched on August 31, 1984 as MuchMusic, under the ownership of CHUM Limited, the owner of Citytv Toronto, though "Much" has been the branding most commonly seen on-air since 1997. Mark Spicoluk is a Canadian content creator, yoga instructor, musician, podcaster, and entrepreneur. He is best known as co-creator and yoga teacher for the lifestyle brand Boho Beautiful, his time as bass player with Avril Lavigne, and as the vocalist and bassist for the punk rock band Closet Monster. From 2012 to 2015 he appeared as a judge on YTV's '' The Next Star''. Miss May I is an American metalcore band from Troy, Ohio. Formed in 2007, they signed to Rise Records in 2008 and released their debut album, '' Apologies Are for the Weak'' through the label while the members were still attending high school. The album reached 76 on the ''Billboard'' 200, No. 29 on ''Billboard''s Top Heatseekers, and No. 66 on Top Independent Albums. The band has also had some of their material featured in big name productions; the song "Forgive and Forget" is featured on the ''Saw VI'' Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, and their song "Apologies Are for the Weak" is included in the video game '' Saints Row: The Third''. Elias (band)
Elias is a Sweden, Swedish rock band formed in 2004-2005 and consisting of Fredrik Andersson, Pascal Bjerrehus, Jens Magnusson and Christoffer Olsson. They were signed to various record labels, including Pama Records, Rivendale Records and Universal Music. ''Shine'', their debut album, released in June 2006 and produced by Peps Persson, followed their initial 2005 hit single "Sayonara". However it was "Who's da Man", featuring 7-year-old singer Frans Jeppsson-Wall, that catapulted the band to great fame when the song became the biggest summer hit of 2006 in Sweden. Hawthorne Heights is an American rock band formed in Dayton, Ohio in 2001. Originally called A Day in the Life, their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass, backing vocals) and Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean vocals). Protest the Hero is a Canadian progressive metal band from Whitby, Ontario. Originally named Happy Go Lucky, the band changed their name to Protest the Hero, then released their debut EP, '' Search for the Truth'', in 2002. These Kids Wear Crowns is a Canadian power pop and pop-rock band, formed in 2009 in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
