Aasai Alaigal (1963 Film)
''Aasai Alaigal'' () is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by A. S. A. Samy and produced by J. D. Fernando. The film stars S. S. Rajendran, C. R. Vijayakumari, M. R. Radha and Sowcar Janaki. Plot Amudha, a girl from a rich family, loves and marries Durai who is from a middle-class family. They beget two children. Amudha wants to live a lavish life whereas Durai thinks love is God. Amudha's brother Manickam spends all his share of father's wealth and comes to live with Amudha. He soon finds the difference of opinion between Amudha and her husband and tries to blow it up. In the meantime, Naganathan, a friend of Durai meets with an accident and dies. Before dying he requests Durai to take care of his wife Thangam and children. Durai works overtime to help Thangam. Manickam tells Amudha that Durai is having an affair with Thangam. Sankaramanchi Janaki (born T. Janaki; 12 December 1931), popularly known as Sowcar Janaki (Tamil) or Shavukaru Janaki (Telugu) or Sahukar Janaki (Kannada), is an Indian actress who has appeared in over 300, films, predominantly in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and ''Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Nagesh (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; (27 September 1933 – 31 January 2009) was an Indian actor, mostly remembered for his roles as a comedian in Tamil films during the 1960s. Nagesh was born in Dharapuram. He acted in over 1,000 Cinema of India, films from 1958 to 2008, performing in a variety of roles as comedian, lead roles, supporting actor and antagonist.
