Aaron Estrada
Aaron Estrada (born February 3, 2001) is an American men's college basketball player for the Hofstra Pride of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) who is two-time Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year (2022, 2023). He led the 2022–23 Pride to a share of the regular season conference championship and advancement into the second round of the 2023 NIT, where Hofstra pulled a first-round upset over regional #1-seed Rutgers, 88–86, in overtime. Estrada has not declared whether he is returning to NCAA Division I as a graduate-level student. High school career Estrada attended Woodbury Junior-Senior High School. As a junior, he averaged 21.5 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game. Estrada scored 23 points and made the game-winning foul shots as the Thundering Herd beat Cresskill High School 60–58 to capture their first Group 1 state title. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 5, 2019. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020. The 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was scheduled to end in Atlanta on April 6, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. Practices officially began in late September. On March 12, 2020, the NCAA announced that all remaining winter and spring championships for both men's and women's sports were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The James Madison Dukes men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team represents Creighton University of the NCAA Division I college basketball. They currently compete in the Big East Conference having joined the conference following the Big East conference realignment in 2013.
