Aaron Doornekamp
Aaron Rene Doornekamp (born December 5, 1985) is a Canadian-Dutch professional basketball player for Lenovo Tenerife of the Spanish Liga ACB. He was one of the greatest players in the history of the Carleton University Ravens men's college basketball team. Doornekamp is also a member of the senior Canadian men's national team. At a height of tall, he can play at both the small forward and power forward positions, with power forward being his main position. University career Doornekamp was named CIS Men's Basketball Player of the year, and OUA Male Athlete of the Year, in 2008. He was a member of the Carleton Ravens Canadian national championship teams in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009, and he won the MVP award at the 2007 final eight tournament. FIBA Europe Cup
The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA Europe's second level competition. Canada Men's National Basketball Team
The Canada men's national basketball team () represents Canada in international basketball competitions since 1923. Carleton Ravens
The Carleton Ravens are the athletic teams that represent Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. The most notable sports team for Carleton is the men's basketball team. In men's basketball, the Ravens have won 16 of the last 19 national men's championships, which is more than any top division college in Canada or the United States. The Ravens went on an 87-game winning streak from 2003 to 2006. They also had a 54-game home winning streak. The Ravens finished 2nd in the World University Basketball Championships in 2004. Basketball At The 2015 Pan American Games – Men's Tournament
The men's basketball tournament at the 2015 Pan American Games was held in Toronto, Canada at the Ryerson Athletic Centre from July 21 to 25. For these Games, the men competed in an 8-team tournament. The teams were grouped into two pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each group will advance to a single elimination bracket. Puerto Rico are the defending champions from the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, defeating Mexico, 74–72 in the final. The 2015 FIBA Americas Championship for Men, later known as the FIBA AmeriCup, was the FIBA Americas qualifying tournament for the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Brazil. The FIBA AmeriCup (previously known as the FIBA Americas Championship) is the Americas Basketball Championship that takes place every four years between national teams of the Western Hemisphere continents. Since FIBA organized the entire Western Hemisphere west of the Atlantic Ocean under one zone, countries from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America compete in this tournament.
