Aaron Badgley
Aaron Badgley (born August 29, 1964) is a Canadian music journalist, music critic, radio host, podcaster, author, and biographer. As a music critic and journalist, he has written for All-Music Guide, '' The Fulcrum'', ''The Spill Magazine'', ''Lexicon Magazine'', ''Immersive Audio Album'', WA12Radio, the Anderson Collegiate Vocational Institute student newspaper, and several Beatles fan magazines, including ''Strawberry Fields Forever'', ''Beatlefan'', and ''Good Day Sunshine Magazine''. He worked as a writer, producer, and production manager for several radio stations in Ontario's Durham Region, including CKAR-FM and CKQT-FM (both in Oshawa), and CHOO-FM (in Ajax). Oshawa ( , also ; 2021 population 175,383; CMA 415,311) is a city in Ontario, Canada, on the Lake Ontario shoreline. It lies in Southern Ontario, approximately east of Downtown Toronto. ''The Fulcrum'' is the English language student newspaper at the University of Ottawa. The paper dates back to 1942 and co-exists on the bilingual campus with ''La Rotonde'', the University of Ottawa's French newspaper. The two newspapers are not simply translated copies of the same material, rather, the two are completely separate—and sometimes rivalling—entities. The newspaper covers news, arts and culture, and sports information relevant to University of Ottawa students and nearby community, and contains a feature article each week. CKGE-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 94.9 FM from Oshawa, Ontario. The station broadcasts an active rock format under the brand name ''94.9 The Rock''. CKDO (1580 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, serving the eastern suburbs of the Greater Toronto Area. The station airs a classic hits/oldies format and is owned by Durham Radio Inc. CKDO is one of only two radio stations in Canada that broadcast on 1580 kHz. The other is CBPK, a 50-watt weather information station in Revelstoke, British Columbia. CKDO is powered at 10,000 watts, using a directional antenna with a two-tower array. The production manager of a musical ensemble is in charge of the technical crew. The technical crew moves independently of the band because the technical crew must arrive at the gig location by the morning of the show to start setting up the equipment. The band members usually arrive much later, just before the event itself. A radio producer oversees the making of a radio show. The job title covers several different job descriptions: *Content producers or executive producers oversee and orchestrate a radio show or feature.
