Aadu (franchise)
Aadu is an Indian film franchise of Malayalam language created by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Friday Film House. The first in the franchise was '' Aadu'' (2015), followed by ''Aadu 2'' (2017) and '' Aadu 3'' (2025) set release on late 2025. Feature films ''Aadu'' (2015) A local Tug-of-war tourney gifted Shaji Pappan and his gang, a cute but naughty little goat called 'Pinky'. Their attempts to dump the goat, unknowingly, interrupts few groups of smugglers, who are in race for the 'Neelakodiveli'. ''Aadu 2'' (2017) Shaji Pappan and his gang try to redeem their arts club through a game of tug-o-war. Meanwhile Pappan’s back pain has become a bigger problem, so they orders a Ayurvedic medicine from North India. ''Aadu'' () is a 2015 Indian slapstick comedy film, written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. It was an adaptation from the Guy Richie film " Snatch" where the dog and diamond were replaced by the Goat and "Neela Koduveli". It was produced and distributed by Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas through Friday Film House. The film stars an ensemble cast, including Jayasurya, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Vineeth Mohan, Bhagath Manuel, Renji Panicker, Sandra Thomas, Chemban Vinod Jose, Indrans, Bijukuttan, and Harikrishnan. ''Aadu'' was released in India on 6 February 2015. Upon release, it received a mixed response and underperformed at the box office. However, after its DVD release the reception towards the film was positive and in time, attained a cult following. ''Aadu 2'' () is a 2017 Indian Malayalam language action comedy film written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Vijay Babu under Friday Film House. ''Aadu 3'' () is an upcoming Indian Malayalam language epic fantasy film written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film is jointly produced by Vijay Babu and Venu Kunnappilly under their banners of Friday Film House and Kavya Film Company respectively. It is the third and final installment of '' Aadu franchise''. It stars an ensemble cast including Jayasurya, Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Vineeth Mohan, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagath Manuel, Indrans, Baiju, Bijukuttan, Sudhi Koppa and Harikrishnan reprising their roles.
