''A Year of Octobers'' is the first collaborative studio album by American rapper MC Paul Barman and record producer Celestaphone. It was released August 20, 2021, on Drumhex. Barman performs as virtual band member and alter ego YOUNGMAN on each song, except for "Guillotine", performed as himself. The album was produced entirely by Celestaphone. Background The YOUNGMAN character was created during conversations MC Paul Barman had with rapper MF DOOM. Their earliest appearances include songs "YOUNGMAN Speaks on (((race)))" on 2018's ''(((echo chamber)))'', and "The Young Man Has A Point (Nurture)" from Milo (musician), Milo's 2017 album ''Who Told You to Think??!!?!?!?!'' Paul Nathaniel Barman (born October 30, 1974), better known by his stage name MC Paul Barman, is an American rapper and illustrator. Having emerged during the early 2000s, Barman became a definitive voice within the realm of alternative hip hop, noted for his intricate rhyme schemes and humorous narrative style, which he infuses with an array of literary devices. He is particularly recognized for his usage of , including Acrostic, acrostics and Palindrome, palindromes, in crafting his rap lyrics. Rory Allen Philip Ferreira (born February 3, 1992), better known by his stage name R.A.P. Ferreira, formerly Milo (often stylized as milo) and Scallops Hotel, is an American rapper, poet, and producer from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Suzanne Goldish, sometimes credited as Suzy Goldish, is an American ADR voice director, audio engineer, photographer and voice actress. Career Goldish worked on the properties of 4Kids Entertainment; she was the ADR engineer for the Pokémon TV series. Goldish is also known as the voice of Jasmine from the popular Yugioh GX series. Goldish has gained extensive experience and honed her kids' entertainment chops through years in Sesame Workshop's Interactive Technologies group, as well as the Educate Products/ Hooked on Phonics Product Development group in New York City. Billy Woods (born 1978) is an American rapper based in New York. He is the founder of the record label Backwoodz Studioz, and has been a member of Armand Hammer, Super Chron Flight Brothers, and The Reavers. Early life Billy Woods was born in Washington, D.C. Joseph Murphy (born October 4, 1996), professionally known as Celestaphone, is an American musician and record producer. Early life Joseph Murphy was born in Riverside, California on October 4, 1996. Several members of his family are musicians, including his parents. Career 2014–2017: Early recordings and instrumental albums Celestaphone released his first solo EP, ''Glorifying'', in October 2014.
