A Very Special Love
''A Very Special Love'' is a 2008 Filipino comedy romance film produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films and starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo. The film was directed by Cathy Garcia Molina and had received an “A” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board. The film was released on the 30th day of July 2008 and ran for eight weeks on cinemas in the Philippines. It was also released in the United States on August 15 of the same year. This movie is the first movie of Sarah Geronimo under Star Cinema in a lead female character after ''Sarah: The Teen Princess'' 13 years ago. A sequel entitled ''You Changed My Life'' was released on February 25, 2009, and a second sequel entitled ''It Takes a Man and a Woman'' which was released on March 30, 2013. Cathy Garcia Molina
Catherine Rosales Garcia-Sampana (; formerly Molina; born November 28, 1971) is a Filipino film and television director best known for directing romantic comedy and family drama films produced and distributed by Star Cinema. She has also directed a few TV series, which aired on ABS-CBN, where she is one of the resident directors. Her films have frequently become some of the highest-grossing films in the Philippines. Her 2019 film, ''Hello, Love, Goodbye'', starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, became the highest grossing Philippine film of all time. The 40th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards (GMMSF-BOEA) is a part of the annual awards in the Philippines held on June 21, 2009. The award-giving body honors Filipino actors, actresses and other performers' commercial success, regardless of artistic merit, in the Philippine entertainment industry. The yearly event is supposed to be 39th this year, but they believe that it is an unlucky number. Thus they skipped the 39th and renamed the event the 40th instead.
