Eric Clayton (born December 1, 1967) is an American singer, best known for his work in the Christian metal, Christian gothic metal group Saviour Machine which he formed with his brother Jeff Clayton in 1989. Eric Clayton is known for his deep baritone operatic vocals, and is known for his theatrical live performances and dark, peculiar appearances and masks. Career Saviour Machine Eric Clayton's most ambitious work has been Saviour Machine, which released two studio albums ''Saviour Machine I'' (1993) and ''Saviour Machine II'' (1994) before starting the ''Legend'' trilogy that strictly focuses on the Eschatology, end times, Book of Revelation and prophecies about the biblical apocalypse. The band has also released a compilation album titled ''Synopsis'' (2003), the live albums ''Live in Deutschland 1995'' and ''Live in Deutschland 2002''. Psychotic Waltz is an American progressive metal band formed in El Cajon, California, in 1988. History The first incarnation of the band was under the name Aslan, named after a character in the novel ''The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'' by C. S. Lewis. With money earned from local shows and T-shirt sales, they recorded a self-titled demo tape in 1986. The European metal tape trading community took notice of the demo, and the band received enthusiastic reviews from fanzines and German metal fans. After discovering another band with the same name, they changed theirs to Psychotic Waltz and recorded a new four-song demo in 1988. ''Saviour Machine I'' is the 1993 debut album of the American metal band Saviour Machine. In 2010, ''Heaven's Metal Magazine'' ranked it 72nd on the top 100 Christian metal albums of all time list. Recording history ''Saviour Machine I'' was recorded after the band signed a record deal with the Christian music label Frontline Records at The Green Room and The Mixing Lab. The album was produced by Terry Scott Taylor and co-produced and arranged by Eric Clayton.
