It tells the story of a young French journalist who discovers how an American company is using assassinations and other criminal methods to take over French industries. The film was released in France on 10 February 1982. It recorded 1,190,673 admissions in its domestic market. 	Henri Verneuil Henri Verneuil (; born Ashot Malakian; 15 October 1920 – 11 January 2002) was a French-Armenian playwright and filmmaker, who made a successful career in France. He was nominated for Oscar and Palme d'Or awards, and won Locarno International Film Festival, Edgar Allan Poe Awards, French Legion of Honor, Golden Globe Award, French National Academy of Cinema and Honorary Cesar awards. According to one obituary: For exactly 40 years, the prolific Verneuil made movies as mainstream and commercial as any to be found in America or Britain. 	Édith Scob Édith Scob (21 October 1937 – 26 June 2019) was a French film and theatre actress, best known for her role as the daughter with a disfigured face in '' Eyes Without a Face'' (1960). Early life and family Scob was born Édith Helena Vladimirovna Scobeltzine, the granddaughter of a Russian Army general and White Russian émigré. Her father was an architect and her mother a journalist. Her elder brother, Michel Scob (1935–1995), was a French cycling champion and Olympian. At age 14, she underwent treatment for anorexia. Her love of literature inspired an interest in theatre. Scob was studying French at the Sorbonne and taking drama classes when she was cast in her first role. 	Jacques Maury Jacques Maury (10 November 1920 – 12 April 2020) was a French pastor. Biography Jacques was the son of Pierre Maury, a dogmatic professor at the Protestant Faculty of Theology in Paris. Pierre Maury introduced the ideas of Karl Barth in France. Maury's grandfather was Léon Maury, a professor at the Protestant Faculty of Theology in Montauban. Maury attended the Faculté de théologie protestante in Montpellier. During World War II, he worked for Cimade at the Camp de Rivesaltes and as an assistant military chaplain in the 2nd Armored Division. Maury became pastor of the Reformed Church in Lezay after the war. He was President of the French Federation of Christian Student Associations from 1957 to 1962, and then pastor at the Reformed Church in Poitiers.
