Dean Daughtry
William Dean Daughtry (September 8, 1946 – January 26, 2023) was an American musician. Daughtry was the keyboardist for the Classics IV after Joe Wilson departed. They had a 1968 #3 US/#46 UK/#1 Can hit with " Spooky". He co-founded the Atlanta Rhythm Section in 1971, and was their sole constant member until retiring in 2020. He has been involved in the music industry for over 50 years and has earned over 50 gold and platinum records for engineering, producing, and mastering. Biography A native Georgian, Rodney began his music career in 1962 playing bass for The Bushmen. Paul Goddard (musician)
Paul Goddard was an American bass player. He was a bass player in Atlanta Rhythm Section on two occasions: 1971 to 1983, then 2011 until his 2014 death. Rolling Stone magazine voted Paul's bass solo in the song "Another Man's Woman" from their 1979 live album "Are You Ready!" as one of the top five bass guitar solos of all time. In 1970, Goddard played bass on Mylon LeFevre's album "Mylon, We Believe". That same year he joined Atlanta Rhythm Section, who originally served as the session band for Studio One in Georgia. Barry Bailey
1940s births 2022 deaths American rock guitarists Barry Bailey was an American guitarist. He served as lead guitarist with Atlanta Rhythm Section from 1970 to 2006 when he retired due to multiple sclerosis. He was born in 1948 in Decatur in Georgia. When he was twelve, his parents gifted him an acoustic silvertone guitar. In the early 1960s teenage Barry played in bands like The Imperials, The Vons and Wayne Loguidice and the Kommotions.
