''A Philly Special Christmas Party'' is the third and final studio album from The Philly Specials, a vocal trio composed of Philadelphia Eagles offensive linemen Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, and Jordan Mailata. The album was released on November 22, 2024, by Vera Y Records. Proceeds from the album funded an initiative to gift every student in the Philadelphia public school system a present. The album featured appearances by Stevie Nicks, Boyz II Men, Travis Kelce, Kylie Kelce, Devon Gilfillian Devon Gilfillian is an American soul singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Philly Specials
The Philly Specials are an American musical group formed by three football players from the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League: offensive linemen Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, and Jordan Mailata. They are known for recording three albums of Christmas music with the proceeds being donated to charity. The group was named for the Philly Special trick play used by the Eagles to score a touchdown in Super Bowl LII in 2018. The Philly Specials' albums have been produced by Charlie Hall, drummer for the War on Drugs, with Philadelphia Eagles executive Connor Barwin as executive producer. Ronald Eldon Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the songwriter of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards. He began releasing recordings of his own material in 1985 at age 21, and has since recorded seventeen albums. He was the subject of a 2010 documentary called '' Love Shines''. Early life Sexsmith grew up in St. Catharines and started his own band when he was 14 years old. Career Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. ''Maybe This Christmas'' is a holiday compilation album released in November 2002 through Nettwerk Records featuring contemporary musicians performing both classic and original Christmas songs. "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)" is a 1958 novelty Christmas carol written and recorded by Ross Bagdasarian (under the stage name of David Seville). Bagdasarian sang the Christmas carol, varying the tape speeds to produce high-pitched "chipmunk" voices, with the vocals credited to Alvin and the Chipmunks, Seville's cartoon virtual band and later media franchise. The song was nominated for Record of the Year in the 1st Annual Grammy Awards, where it also won three Awards. After the success of "Witch Doctor" in early 1958, Liberty Records asked Bagdasarian to create another successful novelty record. John David Marks (November 10, 1909 – September 3, 1985) was an American songwriter.
