A Little Dream
''A Little Dream'' is a 2008 Indian documentary film about the journey of former Indian President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam's life from Rameswaram to Rashtrapati Bhavan. It was produced by Minveli Media Works and scripted-directed by P. Dhanapal of Coimbatore, and unfolds in the form of a ''story-in-story''. "Importance of education" is the theme of the film, which also contains audio and video clips of important people associated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Dancer and actress Shobhana played the lead role in the film. The short film concludes with a visual presentation of a poem "A Song of Youth", written by Dr Kalam. The DVD was released on 21 January 2008 at Chennai by film director K. Balachander in the presence of Dr. Abdul Kalam. Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai (born 21 March 1970) is an Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer. She acts predominantly in Malayalam films along with Telugu and Tamil films with few Hindi, Kannada and English films. She has won two National Film Awards, one Kerala State Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, with 14 Nominations for Best Actress Category in three different south Indian languages, Tamil Nadu State's Kalaimamani Award in 2011 and numerous other awards. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, for her performances in the Malayalam film '' Manichitrathazhu'' (1993) and the English film '' Mitr, My Friend'' (2001). Chezhiyan is an Indian filmmaker and director of photography who works primarily in the Tamil film industry. He received critical acclaim for his work in ''Kalloori'' (2007), '' Paradesi'' (2013) and ''To Let'' (2017). Early life and education Chezhiyan was born in Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, where he did his early schooling. His parents were primary school teachers. Rameswaram (; also transliterated as Ramesvaram, Rameshwaram) is a municipality in the Ramanathapuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
