''A Good African Story: How a Small Company Built a Global Coffee Brand'' is a 2013 book by the Ugandan businessman Andrew Rugasira. It is a story of "Good African coffee" from inception to becoming the first African company to have its products listed in supermarkets in the United Kingdom. It shows the trials and obstacles Rugasira faced, his journey in South Africa and his history as a businessman. It is an analysis of doing business in Africa and challenges businessmen, especially in Uganda, face to succeed. Critical reception The book was met with mostly positive reviews. Andrew Mwenda of ''The Independent'' called it "a book that combines intellectual depth with practical hands-on business experience. It is a must-read for those interested in the challenge to creating wealth through private entrepreneurial innovation and talent in Africa." Andrew Mwenda (born 1972) is a Ugandan print, radio and television journalist, and the founder and owner of ''The Independent'', a current affairs newsmagazine. He was previously the political editor of ''The Daily Monitor'', a Ugandan daily newspaper, and was the presenter of Andrew Mwenda Live on KFM Radio in Kampala, Uganda's capital city. Background and education Mwenda was born in 1972 in Fort Portal, Kabarole District, in the Western Region of Uganda. His father is ''Mzee Phillip Muhanga'' of Fort Portal. Harriet Lamb CBE (born 3 June 1961) is the chief executive officer of Ashden, an organisation that supports and promotes sustainable energy enterprises from around the world. She was formerly the CEO of peacebuilding organisation International Alert, from November 2015 to April 2019. She was executive director of the United Kingdom Fairtrade Foundation from 2001 to 2012. Prior to this she was a leading campaigner for fair trade.
