''A Espuma das Canções'' (''The Foam of Songs'') is the ninth studio album by Rui Veloso. It was released in November 2005 through EMI. The album was recorded in Vale de Lobos (Sintra), London and Rio de Janeiro Rio de Janeiro, or simply Rio, is the capital of the Rio de Janeiro (state), state of Rio de Janeiro. It is the List of cities in Brazil by population, second-most-populous city in Brazil (after São Paulo) and the Largest cities in the America .... Two editions were released for the album: a regular edition and a special limited edition with two bonus songs and a DVD with a film and photo galleries covering the making of the album. Rui Veloso
Rui Manuel Gaudêncio Veloso (born 30 July 1957) is a Portuguese singer-songwriter and musician. Commonly called "The father of Portuguese rock" (Portuguese: ''O pai do rock português''), Veloso was a major figure in the boom of Portuguese rock music in the 1980s. His 1980 debut album ''Ar de Rock'', which includes the hit single "Chico Fininho", is considered a landmark of Portuguese rock. During the 1980s and 1990s, Veloso released numerous other successful singles and albums in Portugal. An unconditional lover of blues music, he played with B.B. King several times in King's shows in Portugal. Early life Rui Veloso was born in Lisbon on 30 July 1957. His father, Aureliano Veloso (25 February 1924 - 12 June 2019), was the first democratically elected mayor of Porto after the Carnation Revolution, in 1977. Livingstone Studios
Livingston Recording Studios is a recording studio in North London. The studios were started by Ray Kinsey, a film director from North London, who branched out into recording talking books for the blind. The first Livingston Studio designed for recording music was set up in Barnet UK during 1963 where work on talking books continued alongside the recording of folk music. Kinsey's son, Nick Kinsey, joined the company in 1966. Nick Kinsey started to develop the studios continuing with the recording of folk music and branching out into pop music. He recorded artists such as Sweeney's Men,Sleeve notes from ''Sweeney's Men'' CD, Castle Communications Plc, ESM CD 435, 1996. Pentangle, Iain Matthews and Russ Ballard.
