''A Baltic Tragedy'' ( sv, Baltutlämningen) is a 1970 Swedish drama film directed by Johan Bergenstråhle. It was entered into the 20th Berlin International Film Festival. It is based on the Swedish extradition of Baltic soldiers that took place between 1945 and 1946. Lars Johan Rudman Bergenstråhle (15 July 1935 – 23 August 1995) was a Swedish film director and screenwriter. He directed 14 films between 1965 and 1994. His 1969 film '' Made in Sweden'' was entered into the 19th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won a Silver Bear award. His 1972 film '' Foreigners'' won the award for Best Director at the 9th Guldbagge Awards. Knut Blom (actor)
Knut Blom (14 February 1916 – 6 February 1996) was a Norwegian judge. He served as a Supreme Court Justice from 1968 to 1986. He was born in Kristiania as a son of barrister Hans Jensen Blom (1875–1952) and Anna Martens Wingaard (1877–1947). He was a great-grandson of Oluf Petersen Wingaard. He finished his secondary education in 1934, started law studies and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1939. He was hired as a junior solicitor under Carl Fridtjof Rode in Melbu in the same year, and took over the attorney's office when Rode was called to naval duty shortly thereafter. From 1940 to 1942 Blom was a deputy judge in Jæren District Court, and from 1942 he was a junior solicitor under Sven Arntzen; from 1947 a partner. Per Olov Enquist, also known as P. O. Enquist, (23 September 1934 – 25 April 2020) was a Swedish author. He had worked as a journalist, playwright and novelist. Biography Enquist was born and raised in , a village in present-day Skellefteå Municipality, Västerbotten. He was the only son of a single mother, who became a widow when he was half a year old. In his youth, he was a promising athlete with a high jump personal best of 1.97 meters. He studied at Uppsala University, receiving a degree in the history of literature. During his time in Uppsala he started writing, his first novel ''Kristallögat'' being published in 1961, and became a newspaper journalist. Enquist won the Nordic Council's Literature Prize in 1968 for ''Legionärerna'', his account of Sweden's deportation of Baltic-country soldiers at the end of the second world war which also became his international breakthrough.
