AXN White (Spain)
AXN White is a channel operated by Sony Pictures Television International Networks Europe. Its programming is focused on comedy and romantic television series and movies. The channel was launched in Portugal on 14 April 2012 and in Spain on 7 May 2012 replacing Sony Entertainment Television. The channel replaced AXN Crime on 1 October 2013 in Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Moldova. On October 3, 2017 the channel was replaced by Sony Max in Hungary. On May 1, 2023 the channel was replaced by AXN Movies in Spain. In 1 September 2023, German channel Sony Channel was renamed as AXN White. 1080i
In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. This format is used in the SMPTE 292M standard. Definition The number "1080" in 1080i refers to the number of horizontal lines that make up the vertical resolution of the display. Each of these lines contributes to the overall detail and clarity of the image. The letter "i" stands for Interlaced video, interlaced. Chesapeake Shores
''Chesapeake Shores'' is a romantic television series, based on the novel series of the same name by Sherryl Woods, produced by Chesapeake Shores Productions Inc in association with Borderline Distribution. The series had a two-hour premiere on the Hallmark Channel on August 14, 2016. Jesse Metcalfe, Meghan Ory, Barbara Niven, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Diane Ladd and Treat Williams star in the series. John Tinker was showrunner and executive producer for the first two seasons. AXN White (formerly ''Sony Channel'') is a German pay cable and satellite channel owned by High View Group, based in Munich. The network was formerly wholly owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. History Broadcasting started at 11:11 on 22 April 2013. During its first years of broadcast, the channel was exclusively available for Deutsche Telekom until March 2016, when it became widespread among different providers such as Kabel Deutschland, Unitymedia, Kabelkiosk and Magine TV. The managing directors were John O. Fukunaga, Andrew Jay Kaplan and Karen Elisabeth Marsh, whose headquarters are in Landshut. AXN Movies (previously Sony Entertainment Television and AXN White) is a channel operated by Sony Pictures Television International Networks Europe. History As Sony TV en Veo/Sony Entertainment Television The channel was first launched in Spain on June 12, 2006 as a free-to-air channel, called Sony Entertainment Television en Veo (or SET en Veo).
