The ATP Challenger 2001 Team Padova formerly Challenger Team Città di Padova was a tennis List of tennis tournaments, tournament held in Padova, Italy between 2014 and 2015. In 2018, the event was reinstated replacing the International Tennis Tournament of Cortina. The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played on outdoor clay courts. Padua ( ; it, Padova ; vec, Pàdova) is a city and ''comune'' in Veneto, northern Italy. Padua is on the river Bacchiglione, west of Venice. It is the capital of the province of Padua. ATP Challenger Tour
The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. The Challenger Tour events are the second-highest tier of tennis competition, behind the ATP Tour. The ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are on the entry-level of international professional tennis competition. The ATP Challenger Tour is administered by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Players who succeed on the ATP Challenger Tour earn sufficient ranking points to become eligible for main draw or qualifying draw entry at ATP Tour tournaments.
