AS Racine FC is a professional football club based in the city of Lagos, Nigeria. The team competes in the Nigeria National League, the second level of the Nigerian football league system. The club was founded in 1998. The club serves as a feeder team to both local and international clubs and has produced stars like Peter Odemwingie, Brown Ideye, Fegor Ogude, Onyekachi Okonkwo and Olubayo Adefemi. Former Super Eagles striker, Victor Agali, is the head coach of the club. Nigeria National League
The Nigeria National League (NNL) (formerly the National Division 1) is the second-highest overall in the Nigerian football league system after the Nigeria Premier Football League, and is currently contested by 46 clubs. Each season, four teams are promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League, via NNL Super 4/NNL Super 8. The twelve lowest-finishing teams in the Nigerian National League are relegated to Nigeria Nationwide League. The Nigerian football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for association football clubs in Nigeria. Peter Odemwingie
Peter Osaze Odemwingie (born 15 July 1981) is a former professional footballer who played as a forward. Born in what is now Uzbekistan, Odemwingie began his career with Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier League. He then earned a move to European football with Belgian side La Louvière where he spent three seasons winning the Belgian Cup before moving to French side Lille. Odemwingie scored 26 goals for Lille while also playing in the UEFA Champions League with the side. Lokomotiv Moscow bought him for £10 million in July 2007. He scored 23 times in years for Lokomotiv. He joined English side West Bromwich Albion in August 2010. Aide Brown Ideye (born 11 October 1988) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Enyimba. He represented the Nigeria national team at international level, winning the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. Club career Early career Born in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, Ideye began his career with Bayelsa United before moving to Ocean Boys. Fegor Ogude
Fegor Ogude (born 29 July 1987) is a Nigerian former football player who played as a central midfielder or centre-back. Career Club He started his senior career in the Nigerian team Warri Wolves, where he was captain. On 31 August 2010, he signed for Norwegian team Vålerenga. Onyekachi Okonkwo
Onyekachi Donatus Okonkwo (born 13 May 1982 in Aba) is a Nigerian football midfielder. Club career Okonkwo was a member of Enyimba's winning side in the 2003 MTN CAF Champions League and 2004 MTN CAF Champions League finals. During his two-year stay in South Africa he was arguably one of the club's most influential players even scoring the decisive goal against his former club Enyimba to lead the Johannesburg-based club Orlando Pirates to the 2006 MTN CAF Champions League semifinals. Olubayo Adefemi
Olubayo Adefemi (13 August 1985 – 18 April 2011) was a Nigerian professional footballer who last played for Skoda Xanthi. He also played for the Nigeria national football team International career Adefemi represented his country at the 2008 Olympic Games, playing all the games and scoring a goal in a semifinal match against Belgium. He was a member of the Nigerian Under 20 team that came second behind a Lionel Messi-led Argentina at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands. Victor Okechukwu Agali (born 29 December 1978) is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career In 1997, Agali joined French club Olympique de Marseille. Finding it hard to establish a first team place, he quickly moved to Sporting Toulon Var and subsequently to Germany where he played in Hansa Rostock and Schalke 04.
