AS Ponta Leste
AS Ponta Leste is a professional football club based in Dili, East Timor. The team plays in the Liga Futebol Timor-Leste in the Primeira Divisão. The club's most successful season came in 2016 in which the team won the 2016 Taça 12 de Novembro after beating Assalam FC 1–0 in the final, as well as the Super Taça which they won against league champions Benfica Laulara 2–1. Since then however the team has yet to win any further competitions. The club owned by Inácio Moreira the Vice-Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications of Timor Leste and Osório Florindo the vice-president of Federação de Futebol de Timor-Leste. National Stadium (East Timor)
The National Stadium of Timor-Leste (, ), also known as the Municipal Stadium of Dili (, ), is a multi-purpose stadium in Dili, Timor-Leste. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 and is used mostly for association football, football matches. History In 1999-2000, during the 1999 East Timorese crisis and its aftermath, the stadium was used as a makeshift refugee camp and emergency relief distribution point. On 21 December 1999, the stadium hosted the Tour of Duty – Concert for the Troops, featuring Kylie Minogue and John Farnham, for the Military of Australia, Australian troops serving with the International Force for East Timor (INTERFET). Since 2004, the stadium has been home to the finals of the Super Liga Timorense, the Taça Digicel, and, more recently, the Taça 12 de Novembro and the Liga Futebol Timor-Leste, Liga Futebol Amadora / Timor-Leste.
