Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Reggiana Calcio Femminile, known as Reggiana Calcio Femminile or Reggiana for short, was an Italian women's football club from Reggio Emilia, but under licensed to plays as Sassuolo Calcio Femminile for sponsorship reason, since 2016. The club was sponsored by Mapei, the parent company of the professional male football club U.S. Sassuolo Calcio, changing the club name and color. However, as Mapei also owned Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore, the club was not relocated to Sassuolo. History Originally established in 1976 as A.C. Santa Croce, it adopted its current name in 1981, and five years later it was promoted to the top tier. Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore (; with the first half officially written in all caps) is a multi-purpose stadium in Reggio Emilia, Italy. It is currently the home ground of U.S. Sassuolo and A.C. Reggiana, that both play in Serie B. The stadium holds 21,525 and was built in 1995, replacing the Stadio Mirabello. The Italian Women's Cup (Italian: Coppa Italia di calcio femminile) is the national women's football cup competition in Italy and was first held in 1971. Format Coppa Italia is open to teams competing in Serie A (10 teams) and Serie B (16 teams) for a total of 26 participants. The teams are ordered based on their final league position in the previous season, with Serie A teams first followed by Serie B, and the team(s) promoted to Serie A above the team(s) relegated to Serie B. The order is used to arrange the teams into three pools of unequal sizes: 8, 14 and 4. The tournament itself consists of five rounds plus a preliminary round.
