ART Ii Biennale Of Northern Environmental And Sculpture Art
ART Ii Biennale of Northern Environmental and Sculpture Art produces ecologically sustainable artworks to the cultural tradition areas of Ii, Finland. The biennale is organized by the Art Centre KulttuuriKauppila. The art works of ART Ii Biennale are created in ten days with the assistance of the inhabitants of the small town of Ii, located on the northern coast of Finland. The art works of the Biennale 2008 and 2010 are situated by a riverside path connecting the 700-year-old harbour area of Hamina and KulttuuriKauppila Art Centre. ART Ii Seminar gathers together professional artists, curators, representatives and officers of art and culture organizations and institutions as well as politics to consider and develop together current issues in the field of northern environmental and sculpture art. Ii, Finland
Ii (; sv, Ijo) is a municipality of Finland. It is situated by the Bothnian Bay, at the mouth of river Iijoki, and it is part of the Northern Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. Ii merged with Kuivaniemi on 1 January 2007. The new municipality retained the name Ii, but adopted the coat of arms of Kuivaniemi. Ii is notable for having the shortest place name in Finland, and also one of the shortest ones in the world. Art Centre KulttuuriKauppila is an art centre in Ii, Finland. Local artists Helena Kaikkonen, Sanna Koivisto and Antti Ylönen founded it in 2006. KulttuuriKauppila produces every year art exhibitions, art workshops and lectures. Home artists The founder members of KulttuuriKauppila – textile artist Helena Kaikkonen, visual artist Sanna Koivisto and visual artists, ceramic Antti Ylönen - work in the art centre, where they have their own studios. Alfio (born Alfio Bonanno; 24 October 1976) is an Australian-Italian tenor, songwriter, musician, and composer. He began singing at a very early age and started singing professionally at the age of 17, concentrating on recorded music and concerts so far. Alfio has performed in Australia, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Early life Alfio Bonanno was born in Sydney, to Italian-born parents and is the youngest of five children. Lars Endel Roger Vilks (20 June 1946 – 3 October 2021) was a Swedish visual artist and activist who was known for the controversy surrounding his drawings of Muhammad. He also created the sculptures '' Nimis'' and ''Arx'', made of driftwood and rock, respectively.
