480i is the video mode used for standard-definition digital television in the Caribbean, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Laos, Western Sahara, and most of the Americas (with the exception of Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay). The ''480'' identifies a vertical resolution of 480 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an interlaced resolution. The field rate, which is 60 Hz (or 59.94 Hz when used with NTSC color), is sometimes included when identifying the video mode, i.e. 480i60; another notation, endorsed by both the International Telecommunication Union in BT.601 and SMPTE in SMPTE 259M, includes the frame rate, as in 480i/30. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system. Zona Latina is a private owned cable TV channel of Chile. It airs Spanish language music videos as well as Talk Shows. Its sister station is Via X which airs English language music videos. Bang TV (formerly BoomBox) was a Chilean television channel owned by TVI Filmocentro S.A focused on music ranging from the broadcasting of national production, also including genres like Reggaetón, K-pop and pop music. Story The channel started originally in 2007 as a TV show in the channel Via X, called ''Bang! Todo suena'', focused on reggaeton genre and hosted by Monserrat Torrent and Romina Saez, two celebrities from the popular TV program ''Mekano'', broadcast by MEGA a few years before. Due to the high popularity of the reggaeton among chilean people, Via X executive producers find out the idea to create a TV channel focused exclusive to the genre.
