AREP (french: Amenagement, Recherche, Pole d'Echanges, "Management, Research, Interchange") is a multidisciplinary consultancy that is wholly owned by SNCF (Stations and Connections division). It was formed in 1997 by Jean-Marie Duthilleul and Étienne Tricaud, architects and engineers. It has 600 staff from around 15 countries, including town planners, architects, engineers, economists, technicians, designers, and project managers. Étienne Tricaud
Étienne Tricaud (born 1960) is an architect and civil engineer. Biography Tricaud got his interest in architecture from his uncle Pierre Prunet, who was Chief Architect for the Department of Historic Monuments. Prunet carried out restoration works on structures with important heritage, but his agency also designed many new projects. But his greatest satisfaction was to work on projects that combined the two. Tricaud's visits to Prunet's agency led to a strong interest in the art of building and an appreciation of a rigorous and restrained approach that he would subsequently refine while studying architecture under Roland Schweitzer. From this experience and his (dual) architectural training, Tricaud acquired the conviction that an informed project approach could only be based on a subtle marriage between architecture and engineering, both of which providing different yet complementary sources of creation in their relationship to reality. Nîmes-Pont-du-Gard station ( French: ''Gare de Nîmes-Pont-du-Gard'') is a French TGV and TER train station in the communes of Manduel and Redessan, near Nîmes, in Southern France. It was opened on 15 December 2019 on the Contournement Nîmes – Montpellier high-speed railway line and Tarascon–Sète-Ville line. History The name of the new station caused some confusion as it located some 12 km (7.4 mi) from Nîmes itself and 20 km (12.4 mi) from the Pont du Gard. After the project started in 2017, the station was opened on 15 December 2019 although no train operated during the first five days, due to a strike. Jean-Marie Duthilleul
Jean-Marie Duthilleul (born 1952) is a French architect and civil engineer. Education He studied architecture at the École de Paris La Seine, Paris and engineering at the École Polytechnique and the École des Ponts et Chaussées (now ). Career In 1977, he became interested in the subject of urban planning, particularly of planned communities, which helped shape his views on centralisation, social mobility, population density and, later, energy management. In 1982, he was project manager for the Universal Exposition and in 1983 was put in charge of the management of large Parisian civil state-sponsored projects. In 1986, the directors of SNCF (French State Railways) hired him to form a new architectural division. Bitexco Financial Tower
Bitexco Financial Tower ( vi, Tháp TĂ i chĂnh Bitexco) is a skyscraper in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At its completion in 2010, it became the tallest building in Vietnam and kept this status until January 2011, when it was surpassed by Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower. With 68 floors above ground and three basements, the building has a height of , making it the second tallest building in the city, fourth tallest in Vietnam, and the 412th tallest in the world, as of May 2022. Aspire Tower, also known as The Torch Doha, is a skyscraper hotel located in the Aspire Zone complex in Doha, Qatar. Designed by architect Hadi Simaan and AREP and engineer Ove Arup and Partners, the tower served as the focal point for the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in December 2006. The tower is currently the tallest structure and building in Doha and Qatar, but it will be surpassed by the Dubai Towers Doha and the Barwa Tower, when either project is completed. Gare D'Angers Saint-Laud
Angers-Saint-Laud is a railway station located in Angers, Maine-et-Loire, western France. The station was opened in 1849 and is located on the Le Mans–Angers railway and the Tours–Saint-Nazaire railway. The train services are operated by SNCF. The station is at 40 m above sea level and at kilometre post 342.950 of the Tours–Saint-Nazaire railway. Bellegarde station (French: ''Gare de Bellegarde'') is a railway station served by TGV, TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Léman Express located in Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, in the département of Ain, France. The first station building opened in 1858 to allow a stop on the line between Seyssel and Geneva. The wooden building was destroyed by fire and requiring the construction of a new building in 1907.
