APOP Kinyras Peyias FC
APOP Kinyras FC (, ''Athlitikos Podosfairikos Omilos Pegeias Kinyras'', "Athletic Football Club Peyia Kinyras") was a Cypriot association football, football club from the village of Peyia of Paphos District. The club formed in 2003 following the merger of lower division outfits APOP Peyias FC and Kinyras Empas FC. The club's name APOP means Athlitikos Podosferikos Omilos Pegeias (Athletic Football Club Peyia) and Kinyras' name coming from the mythical king Cinyras, Kinyras who was the founder of Paphos. In the summer of 2012, after a large bankruptcy the club was dissolved. In May 2009, APOP Kinyras caused a major stir by winning the Cypriot Cup final, upsetting overwhelming favourites AC Omonia, APOEL FC and AEL Limassol, becoming the first club from Paphos to win a major trophy. In July 2009, APOP Kinyras become the first team from the Paphos region to play in a UEFA competition, visiting Rapid Wien in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round. Peyia 2014 () is a Cyprus, Cypriot Association football, football club based in Pegeia, Peyia of the Paphos District. History The club was founded in 2014 after the merger of two clubs: Peyia FC 2012 and PAS Peyia. The 2004–05 Cypriot Second Division was the 50th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. APOP Kinyras won their 1st title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2004–05 Cypriot Second Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). 2008–09 Cypriot Cup
The 2008–09 Cypriot Cup was the 67th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 28 clubs entered the competition. The tournament involved teams from the Cypriot First Division and lower divisions, with matches played over two legs in the early rounds. It began on 23 September 2008 with the first round and concluded on 16 May 2009 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. APOP Kinyras won their 1st Cypriot Cup trophy after beating AEL 2–0 in the final. Format In the 2008–09 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division and the Cypriot Second Division. The Cypriot Cup, formally known as the Cypriot Coca-Cola Cup of First and Second Division () for sponsorship purposes, is a Cypriot knockout football club competition, hosted annually by the Cyprus Football Association. First held in 1934, it is the second most important competition in Cypriot football, after the Cypriot First Division. Since 2008, it is contested by teams from the first and Cypriot Second Division, second division, while teams from the Cypriot Third Division, third and STOK Elite Division, fourth division compete in the Cypriot Cup for lower divisions. Pafiako Stadium
The Stelios Kyriakides Stadium (previous Pafiako Stadium) () is a multi-use stadium in Paphos, the stadium holds 9,394 people. It has a full size running track around the outside of its football and rugby playing field and is used for many athletics events throughout the year. It is regarded as one of the best pitches in Cyprus and situated ideally for the public. Until 25 May 2017 its name was Pafiako Stadium (), but Cyprus Sport Organisation change its name to Stelios Kyriakides Stadium after marathon runner Stylianos Kyriakides, Stelios Kyriakides. It is the home stadium of Akritas Chlorakas and Pafos FC. Sebastián Ignacio González Valdés (; born 14 December 1978), also known as Chamagol, is a Chilean former footballer who played as striker. Club career He began his football career at Colo-Colo of the first tier of his country, in which he scored 27 goals in 77 appearances during four seasons. In June 2002, he was sold for an undisclosed fee (believed to be a high sum) to Mexican Primera División club Atlante. Edgar Carvalho Figueira Marcelino (born 10 September 1984) is a Portuguese footballer who played as a right winger. Club career Born in Coimbra, Marcelino started his career at Sporting CP, but never represented the main squad, going on to have consecutive loan stints. He made his professional debut with F.C. Penafiel, first appearing in a 1–1 home draw against Rio Ave FC; he was an important attacking element throughout the season, as his team retained their Primeira Liga status. For 2005–06, Marcelino was loaned to Dutch Eredivisie's RBC Roosendaal, which dropped down a level at the end of the campaign.
