APOEL V.C.
APOEL Volleyball Club is a professional volleyball team based in the city of Nicosia, Cyprus and it is a part of the APOEL Nicosia, APOEL Sports club, multi-sport club. History APOEL Nicosia, APOEL was formed in 1926, but the volleyball team was formed in 1928. APOEL was also a founding member of the Cyprus Volleyball Federation. The volleyball team of APOEL won 11 championships (4 held by the Cypriot Local Committee for Sports and 7 held by the Cyprus Volleyball Federation) and 5 Cups. The 1980s was the most successful decade for the team, winning 6 Cyprus Volleyball Division 1, Championships and 5 Cups between 1979 and 1985. Also, the decade of the 1990s was amazing for the youth teams of APOEL (U15, U17, U21) by winning 16 trophies in just 7 years. Lefkotheo
The Lefkotheo Indoor Hall is an indoor arena in Nicosia, Cyprus. It is located next to the Makario Stadium, with which it shares a common car parking lot. It has a crowd capacity of 3,000 seated spectators. Currently, the arena is used by the APOEL B.C., basketball, APOEL V.C., volleyball and APOEL Futsal, futsal departments of APOEL Nicosia. History Lefkotheo Indoor Hall was the first major indoor sports hall to be constructed in Cyprus. Its construction was finished in 1980. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Cyprus Volleyball Federation (CVF) (Greek: Kυπριακή Oμοσπονδία Πετοσφαίρισης, Κ.Ο.ΠΕ) () is the governing body of volleyball in Cyprus.
