APEA Akrotiriou
APEA FC (; ''Αθλητική Ποδοσφαιρική Ένωση Ακρωτηρίου'', Athlitiki Podosfairiki Enosi Akrotiriou) is a Cypriot football club, based in Akrotiri. The club currently compete in the Cypriot Third Division after winning the 2021/2022 STOK Elite Division Championship. History APEA FC was formed in 1955. In January 2020, the club was taken over by Dutch businessman Jamory Leysner. In May 2021, a portion of the club was purchased by an American venture capitalist Rob Steiner. On January 15, 2022, APEA made history by being the first club from the Fourth-Tier to transfer a player to the First-Tier of Cyprus football with Nick Kaaijmolen joining PAEEK FC. Akrotiri (, literally ''Cape'', ) is a village within the Akrotiri Sovereign Base Area, which forms part of the British Overseas Territory of Akrotiri and Dhekelia. It is the only village in the Western SBA with a significant non-military population. The village contains two small churches dedicated to St. Cross and St. George. Cypriot Third Division
The Cypriot Third Division (Greek language, Greek: Πρωτάθλημα Γ΄ Κατηγορίας) is the third tier Association football, football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. History The Cypriot Third Division was held for the first time in the 1970–71 Cypriot Third Division, 1970–71 season as the third level of the Cypriot football. STOK Elite Division
The STOK Elite Division is the fourth tier and the last professional football league competition in Cyprus, run by the STOK Federation of the Cypriot levels. History The STOK Elite Division Championship was initiated by the Cyprus Football Association and by STOK in the 2015–16 football season as the fourth level of Cypriot football in order to replace the folded Cypriot Fourth Division. Structure Current format Sixteen clubs are competing in the league, playing each other twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 30 games per team. The top three clubs are promoted to the Cypriot Third Division and the bottom four are relegated to Cypriot regional levels. Nick Kaaijmolen
Nick Kaaijmolen (born 28 August 2000) is a Dutch Association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for ADO '20. Career Kaaijmolen started his career with Dutch second tier side SC Telstar, Telstar. In 2021, he signed for KSF Prespa Birlik, Prespa Birlik in the Swedish fourth tier. After that, Kaaijmolen signed for Cypriot fourth tier club APEA Akrotiri, APEA. Before the second half of 2021–22, he signed for PAEEK in the Cypriot top flight.
