Adrian Darnell "AJ" Griffin Jr. (born August 25, 2003) is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Duke Blue Devils men's basketball, Duke. High school career Griffin was a starter on the varsity basketball team for Ossining High School in Ossining, New York, as a seventh- and eighth-grader in 2015–16 alongside senior Obi Toppin. Griffin played basketball for Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York. As a freshman, he played with his older brother, Alan Griffin (basketball), Alan, and helped his team win its first Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Archdiocesan title since 1984. The Jordan Brand Classic is a high school All-Star basketball game played annually in April. The game's rosters feature the best and most highly recruited high school boys in the senior class including alumns like Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum and Zion Williamson. Alan Griffin (born April 14, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Newfoundland Growlers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). He played college basketball for the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Syracuse Orange. High school career Griffin attended Oak Park and River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois before moving to Ossining High School in Ossining, New York, where he played basketball alongside Obi Toppin. Obadiah Richard Toppin Jr. (born March 4, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of National Basketball Association (NBA). A power forward, he played college basketball for the Dayton Flyers. A native of New York City, Toppin was born in the borough of Brooklyn, and graduated from Ossining High School in New York. After receiving no NCAA Division I offers, he played a postgraduate season at Mt. Zion Preparatory School in Maryland.
