Acharya Institute Of Management And Sciences
AIMS Institutes, formerly Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences (AIMS), is a private, self-financed institution in Bangalore, Bengaluru affiliated to the Bangalore University, Bengaluru University. It offers postgraduate, undergraduate and certificate courses in fields such as management, computer applications, social work, hospitality and culinary arts. Talladega Superspeedway
Talladega Superspeedway (Alabama International Motor Speedway from 1969 to 1989) is a tri-oval superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama. Built in 1969, the track has hosted a variety of racing events, primarily races sanctioned by NASCAR. The track is owned by NASCAR and led by track president Brian Crichton. The grandstand can seat 80,000 as of 2022. Along with the main track, the track complex also has a roval-style road course. In the early 1960s, NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. built the track near Talladega, Alabama, after a failed proposal to build one in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Over its first couple decades, the track gained a reputation as fast, wild, and chaotic, with speeds of over , major accidents, and unusual occurrences. Associated Iron Moulders Of Scotland
The Associated Iron Moulders of Scotland (AIMS) was a trade union representing foundry workers in Scotland. The union was created in 1831 as the Scottish Iron Moulders' Union. Its founder was James Dunn, a former cotton worker who had been blacklisted for trade union activities in his own trade. He spotted a gap produced by the failure of the Scottish Iron Moulders' Friendly Society, and the new union was successful, growing to 556 members by 1834, and gaining increases of 4 shillings per week for its members.Arthur Marsh and Victoria Ryan, ''Historical Directory of British Trade Unions'', vol.2, pp.21-22 The union attempted to restrict the number of workers in the industry by campaigning to limit the number of apprentices, and charging a fee of £5 for non-Scottish workers to join the union. The All India Meo Sabha (English: All India Assembly for Meos) (abbreviation: AIMS) is an Indian political organisation and advocacy group based primarily in the Mewat region of India. It was formed under the leadership of Chaudhary Rahim Khan in 1967. History The All India Meo Sabha was founded by Chaudhary Rahim Khan in 1967. It was responsible for uniting Meos that were scattered across Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, post independence. The organization under the leadership of Chaudhary Rahim Khan made demands for a university in Mewat, extension of railway lines to the Mewat region of Rajasthan and Haryana, as well as the recognition of the ethnic Meos as part of the Scheduled Tribes denomination in India and granting them reservations accordingly due to their economically and educationally disadvantaged status in Indian society. ''Aims'' is the fifth studio album by American pop singer-songwriter Vienna Teng. Produced by Cason Cooley, the work was released on September 24, 2013. The album brought Teng four awards in the thirteenth annual Independent Music Awards: Adult Contemporary Album, A Cappella Song (for "The Hymn of Acxiom"), Pop Song (for "Level Up"), and Social Action Song (for "Level Up"). This was the first time an artist received four awards in one year. Background The album was made while Teng was in graduate school at the University of Michigan Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise and was inspired by the city of Detroit. In previous albums, Teng relied almost solely on the piano, but for this album, Teng relied largely on Cooley's sound library with tracks ranging from African percussion to an orchestra of instruments.
