Asian Highway 2 (AH2) is a road in the Asian Highway Network running from Denpasar, Indonesia to Merak, and Singapore to Khosravi, Iran. The route is connected to M10 of the Arab Mashreq International Road Network. Asian Highway Network
The Asian Highway Network (AH), also known as the Great Asian Highway, is a cooperative project among countries in Asia and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) to improve their connectivity via highway systems. It is one of the three pillars of the Asian Land Transport Infrastructure Development (ALTID) project, endorsed by the ESCAP commission at its 48th session in 1992, comprising Asian Highway, Trans-Asian railway (TAR) and facilitation of land transport projects. Agreements have been signed by 32 countries to allow the highway to cross the continent and also reach to Europe. Some of the countries taking part in the highway project are India ( Act East policy), Sri Lanka, Pakistan, China, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Nepal and Bangladesh. Arab Mashreq International Road Network
The Arab Mashreq international Road Network is an international road network between the primarily Arab countries of the Mashriq (Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman and Yemen). In addition, part of the network passes through Israel, which is not a party to the agreement that created it as well as non-Arab parts of the region. The network is a result of the 2001 Agreement on International Roads in the Arab Mashreq, a United Nations multilateral treaty that entered into force in 2003 and has been ratified by 13 of the 14 (all except Israel) countries that the network serves. National Route 15 in Java is one of major road network of Indonesian National Routes in Yogyakarta, Central Java and East Java connecting Yogyakarta to Surabaya. Khosravi, Kermanshah
Khosravi () is a village in, and the capital of, Alvand Rural District of the Central District of Qasr-e Shirin County, Kermanshah province, Iran. History On 10 May 1992, an unidentified number of Iraqi and Iranian POWs were exchanged at Khosravi border; on 19 May 1993, another 200 Iraqi POWs were released there; and on 18 August 1995, approximately 100 Iraqi POWs were released near the Iran/Iraq border of Mundharieh-Khosravi. In October 1995, Iran and Iraq agreed to exchange the remains of the troops killed from both sides during the war via Khosravi border crossing. Another POW exchange occurred in March 2003. The first group of Iranian religious tourists left for Iraq on 15 August 1998 via Khosravi after 20 years of border closure to pilgrims.
