AFL–CIO Employees Federal Credit Union
The AFL–CIO Employees Federal Credit Union is a multiple common bond, federally chartered credit union headquartered in Washington, D.C. The credit union was founded in 1952 for members of the AFL–CIO. It currently has two locations serving 9,723 members. AFL–CIO Employees FCU has assets of $76 million. Common Bond Of Association
The (common) bond of association or common bond is the social connection among the members of credit unions and co-operative banks. Common bonds substitute for collateral in the early stages of financial system development. Like solidarity lending, the common bond has since played an important role in facilitating the development of microfinance for poor people. The Union Credit Union
The Union Credit Union was a credit union chartered to serve union members. A national advocate for unions and union members, it was headquartered in Spokane, Washington, United States. It closed operations in October 2010. In 1968 members of Bricklayers Local 3 founded The Union Credit Union as a not-for-profit means of obtaining loans and saving money. The credit union served only trade union members and was named Inland Empire Trades Credit Union. Today members from any union can belong and bank at The Union Credit Union. The families of union members, union employers and unions could also hold accounts and obtain loans at The Union Credit Union. Amalgamated Bank Of Chicago
The Amalgamated Bank of Chicago (ABOC) is a commercial bank headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, United States. In addition to its downtown Chicago office, the bank has a branch office in Warrenville, Illinois. Until November 1991, the bank was known as Amalgamated Trust & Savings Bank. ABOC announced plans to be acquired by Amalgamated Bank of New York during 2021. The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) is a union representing about 100,000 Painter and decorator, painters, glaziers, wallpaper, wall coverers, flooring, flooring installers, convention and trade fair, trade show decorators, glassworkers, sign and display workers, asbestos worker/hazmat technician and drywall finishers in the United States and Canada. The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL–CIO) is the largest federation of unions in the United States. It is made up of 56 national and international unions, together representing more than 12 million active and retired workers.
