ADA Clade
The ADA clade is the earliest-branching monophyletic clade of the flowering plant subfamily Faboideae (or Papilionaceae). Evidence for this clade was sparse until recent molecular phylogenies that included basal faboid genera that previously had been poorly sampled. Description This clade is composed of a morphologically eclectic collection of genera. It is one of only three clades (the other two being Swartzieae and the ''Cladrastis'' clade) in Faboideae that lack the 50-Kb plastid DNA inversion that is characteristic of the Meso-Papilionoideae. The name of this clade is informal and is not assumed to have any particular taxonomic rank like the names authorized by the ICBN or the ICPN. Castanospermum Australe
''Castanospermum'' is a monotypic genus (i.e. a genus that contains only one species) in the legume family Fabaceae. The sole species is ''Castanospermum australe'', commonly known as Moreton Bay chestnut or black bean. It is native to rainforests on the east coast of Australia (Queensland and northeastern New South Wales), and to nearby islands of the southwest Pacific Ocean. It was first described in 1829, and has been cultivated around the world. Description The black bean is a large evergreen tree growing up to tall, though commonly much smaller. The leaves are long and broad, pinnate, with 11-15 leaflets. The flowers are bicoloured red and yellow, long, produced in racemes long. Swartzieae
The tribe (biology), tribe Swartzieae is an early-branching monophyly, monophyletic clade of the flowering plant subfamily Faboideae or Papilionaceae. Traditionally this tribe has been used as a wastebasket taxon to accommodate genera of Faboideae which exhibit actinomorphic, rather than zygomorphic floral symmetry and/or incompletely differentiated petals and free stamens. It was recently circumscription (taxonomy), revised and most of its genera were redistributed to other tribes (Amburaneae, Baphieae, and Exostyleae). Meso-Papilionoideae or 50-kb Inversion clade is a monophyletic clade of the flowering plant subfamily Faboideae (or Papilionoideae) that includes the majority of papilionoid legumes. It contains many agronomically important genera, including ''Arachis'' (peanut), '' Cicer'' (chickpea), ''Glycine'' (soybean), ''Medicago'' (alfalfa), ''Phaseolus'' (common bean), ''Trifolium'' (clover), ''Vicia'' (vetch), and ''Vigna'' (mung bean). Cladrastis Clade
The ''Cladrastis'' clade is a monophyletic clade of the flowering plant subfamily Faboideae (or Papilionaceae) that is found in eastern Asia and southern North America. It is consistently resolved in molecular phylogenies and is sister to the Meso-Papilionoideae. The Faboideae are a subfamily of the flowering plant family Fabaceae or Leguminosae. An acceptable alternative name for the subfamily is Papilionoideae, or Papilionaceae when this group of plants is treated as a family.
