Stadio Romeo Menti (Montichiari)
Stadio Romeo Menti is a football stadium in Vicenza, Italy, named after Romeo Menti. It is currently the home of Vicenza Calcio. The stadium holds 12,000. Recent years On 11 November 1989 the stadium hosted the only game played so far in Vicenza in the Italy national football team. The match, a friendly in preparation for the World Cup Italy 90, saw the victory of Italy 1–0 against Algeria. Subsequent work removed the metal pillars of the old grandstand that hindered filming of football matches, along with the installation of seats in a field at the corner of the south stand. In 2007 an adaptation of the structure finally saw the laying of the entrance turnstiles and the strengthening of surveillance. On September 21, 2013 an initiative called ''Give a hand to Menti'', saw the repainting of the exterior, with the participation of the players and the mayor Achille Variati. Francesco Carbone
Francesco Carbone (born 4 January 1980) is a retired Italian footballer who played as a defender. Biography Early career Born in Rome, Lazio, Carbone started his career at S.S. Lazio. Carbone then left for Foggia. Chievo and loans In 1999, Carbone was sold to Serie B club Chievo in a co-ownership deal. In June 2000, Chievo purchased the player outright. However Carbone was loaned to Serie C1 club Avellino for the 2000–01 Serie C season. Carbone then spent the 2001–02 Serie B season at Pistoiese. In 2002–03 Serie B, at first he left for Siena in July, then left for Triestina in January 2003. The loan was extended in August 2003. In July 2004, Carbone was loaned to Torino Calcio, who won promotion but were forced to remain in Serie B due to financial difficulties. The 2011–12 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season was the thirty-fourth football league season of Italian Lega Pro Seconda Divisione since its establishment in 1978, and the fourth since the renaming from Serie C to Lega Pro. It was divided into two phases: the regular season, and the playoff phase. Historically, the league was composed of 54 teams divided into three divisions of 18 teams each. This year, due to a significant reduction in qualified teams, it was decided that the league would be composed of 40 teams divided into two divisions (''gironi'') divided geographically. Catanzaro was re-admitted to the league after being previously excluded, increasing the number of teams to 41. Girone A is composed of 20 teams, and girone B is composed of 21 teams.
