ACS Foresta Suceava
Asociația Club Sportiv Foresta Suceava, commonly known as Foresta Suceava or simply as Foresta, was a professional Association football, football football team, club from Romania, based in Suceava, Suceava County and founded in 1946 as Locomotiva Ițcani. Previously, the club changed its name to A.S. C.F.R. Ițcani as well. At the end of the 2017–2018 season finished 18th out of 20 teams and were relegated to the third league. They have last played in Liga III, Seria I, withdrawing on March 5, 2024, because of financial problems and unpaid debts. History Foresta Suceava was founded as ''Rapid CFR Suceava'' to continue the football tradition in the city of Suceava after the dissolution of FC Cetatea Suceava, CSM Suceava (Bucovina Suceava) and Foresta Fălticeni, NC Foresta Suceava. Areni Stadium
The Areni Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Suceava, the largest municipality and county seat town of Suceava County. It currently is the home ground of CSM Cetatea Suceava, Cetatea Suceava. The stadium had a total capacity of 12,500 seats and was opened in 1963 as the Municipal Stadium. Additionally, the stadium was also renovated between the periods 1976–1977, 1980–1982, and 2002 respectively. After the seats were installed it holds 7,000 people. The 2021–22 Liga III was the 66th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began in August 2021 and ended on 28 May 2022. This season was the second consecutive with a format that included 100 teams (10x10). The 2020–21 Liga III was the 65th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began in September 2020 and ended in May 2021. The format was changed from five series of 16 teams to ten series of 10 teams, as the no relegation rule was applied in the previous season after its suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2019–20 Liga III
The 2019–20 Liga III was the 64th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season was initially scheduled to begin on 24 August 2019 and to end on 30 May 2020. The season was interrupted on 9 March 2020, after 16 rounds, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania, COVID-19 pandemic. After two months of inactivity, on 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the season was discontinued and the best ranked teams from each series (after 16 rounds) were promoted to Liga II, only if the distance between the leader and the runner-up was bigger than 3 points. Otherwise promotion play-offs will be played between the best two teams of the series. 2015–16 Liga II
The 2015–16 Liga II was the 76th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 29 August. The 28 teams were divided in two series (with 14 teams each). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. Because of switching to a system with just one series of 22 teams from next season, there will be 11 teams relegated from Liga II this year. After the regular season, the last two teams in each series relegated to Liga III; the last 3 teams in each play-out pool also relegated, while the 3rd placed teams in the play-out faced off in a game that determined the 11th relegated team.
