The Arab Broadcasting Services network is a broadcasting, media and news provider network that has been operating in the Middle East for over 16 years. It currently operates around the world in Jordan (the company headquarters is located in the capital city of Amman), Iraq (in both Baghdad and Erbil), the United States (in both New York and Washington), Dubai, Beirut, Cairo and Afghanistan. The Arab Spring ( ar, الربيع العربي) was a series of anti-government protests, uprisings and armed rebellions that spread across much of the Arab world in the early 2010s. It began in Tunisia in response to corruption and economic stagnation. From Tunisia, the protests then spread to five other countries: Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain. Abu Dhabi TV ( ar, قناة أبوظبي) is an Emirates-based television channel that was originally launched in 1969. BBC Arabic ( ar, بي بي سي عربي) may refer to the Literary Arabic language radio station run by the BBC World Service, as well as the BBC's satellite TV channel, and the website that serves as an Literary Arabic language news portal and provides online access to both the TV and radio broadcasts.
