''ABCD'' is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romance film written and directed by Saravana Subbiah. The film starred Shaam, Nandana, Sneha, and Aparna. It was released on 12 August 2005. Plot Anand (Shaam) an MBA-Chatered accountant graduate, runs in search of a job in Chennai. He stays in the house of an old man, whose daughter Chandra (Sneha) returned home following the death of her husband, who had been mistreating and abusing her since their wedding. She slowly gets attracted to Anand, as he is polite and humble, the one thing he misses from his husband. Meanwhile, on the bus travel, he comes across a woman named Bharati ( Nandana Kumar), whom he lost his certificates to. Bharati is a revolutionary woman with practical ideas and looks after her whole family. She even stops her wedding which is going to happen, as the groom expects a lumpsum amount as a dowry. Saravana Subbiah
Saravana Subbiah is an Indian film director and actor, who has appeared in Tamil language films. He made his directorial debut with ''Citizen'' (2001), before making the romantic drama '' ABCD'' (2005). Career Saravana Subbiah worked as an assistant director to Pavithran for ''Kadhal Palli'' (1997). He made his directorial debut with ''Citizen'' (2001) featuring Ajith Kumar in the leading role of a social activist. Prior to release, the film created anticipation with reports suggesting that Ajith would portray several different get-ups in a double role. Bava Lakshmanan is an Indian Tamil actor and comedian who predominantly featured in comedy roles.
