Focke-Wulf A
Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau AG () was a German manufacturer of civil and military aircraft before and during World War II. Many of the company's successful fighter aircraft designs were slight modifications of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190. It is one of the predecessor companies of today's Airbus. History The company was founded in Bremen on 24 October 1923 as Bremer Flugzeugbau AG by Prof. Henrich Focke, Georg Wulf and Dr. rer. pol. Werner Naumann. Almost immediately, they renamed the company Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau AG (later Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau GmbH). Focke-Wulf merged, under government pressure, with Albatros Flugzeugwerke of Berlin in 1931. The Albatros Flugzeugwerke engineer and test pilot Kurt Tank became head of the technical department and started work on the Fw 44 ''Stieglitz'' (Goldfinch). A47 Road
The A47 is a major trunk road in England linking Birmingham to Lowestoft, Suffolk, maintained and operated by National Highways. Most of the section between Birmingham and Nuneaton is now classified as the B4114 road, B4114. From Peterborough eastwards, it is a trunk road (sections west of the A1 road (Great Britain), A1 road have been downgraded as alternative roads have been built). History The original (1923) route of the A47 was Birmingham to Great Yarmouth, but there were some changes made to its route in the early years. At its eastern end, the A47 originally ran through Filby and Caister-on-Sea, with the Acle Straight bearing the number B1140. A change took place in 1925. The original route of the A47 between Guyhirn and Wisbech in the Isle of Ely was via Wisbech St Mary, with the direct route being part of the A141. A47 Road (Northern Ireland)
The A47 road runs from Kesh to Belleek along the north shore of Lower Lough Erne. The A47 commences from Letterkeen, a townland north of Kesh in County Fermanagh, and heads due west near the shores of Lower Lough Erne and over the eastern causeway and bridge onto Boa Island. The A47 traverses the island, back over a bridge to an islet, then another bridge on to the mainland. The road follows the trackbed on the left of the former railway of the Great Northern Railway of Ireland NR (I)upon reaching a trailing junction on the right for Pettigo on the B136. The road follows the shores nearby and runs near Castle Caldwell and the closed railway track of the GNR (I) (which was originally part of the Enniskillen and Bundoran Railway) is a field way before heading in different ways into Belleek.
