Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries
HD Hyundai Samho () is the world's largest dockyard and produces approximately 40 vessels per year. Its yard is located in Samho-eup, Yeongam, South Korea. History The company was first established with a name of Incheon Shipbuilding (인천조선) in 1977 as a subsidiary company of Halla Group. (The founder of 'Halla group' was Chung In-Young the younger brother of Chung Ju-Yung, the founder of Hyundai Group) The first ship building dock was constructed in Incheon, South Korea. Afif (ship)
Afif ( ) is a city in central Saudi Arabia, in the Najd region. It is situated approximately halfway between Riyadh and Mecca. The modern town was established in the 1910s as a ''hijra'', or "settlement", for the nomadic tribes of the area, particularly the tribe of 'Utaybah (see Ikhwan). It has since grown into a small city of 39,581 as of the 2004 census, not counting the surrounding towns and villages, which together with 'Afif form the 'Afif Governorate. The city once served as a gateway between the central and western regions of Saudi Arabia. The city is also known to be the first landing site of the first airplane owned by King Abdulaziz the first king of Saudi Arabia. Umm Qarn () is a Qatari village in the municipality of Al Daayen. Located just off Al Shamal Highway, the village hosts the municipal office and currently serves as the municipality's administrative seat. Etymology The settlement derives its name from local geographical features. Umm Qarn translates to 'mother of flat shaped hill'. History Local tradition states that Umm Qarn is the ancestral homeland of the Al Mudahika tribe. The Al Fadala family, descended from the ancient Arab Tayy tribe, also historically resided here. Al Jasrah () is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. It hosts Souq Waqif, one of the largest souqs in Qatar. Other points of interest in the district include Souq Jaidah, the Souq Waqif Falcon Hospital, the Souq Waqif Horse Stables, Abdul Aziz Nasser Theatre, Waqif Art Centre, Al Koot Fort (also known as Doha Fort) and Doha Fort Museum. Al-Murabba () is a historic neighborhood in central Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located west of Al Wizarat (Riyadh), al-Wazarat and north of Al Fouta, al-Futah in the sub-municipality of Al Malaz Sub-Municipality, al-Malaz.
