A. H. G. Mohiuddin is a Bangladeshi businessman, diplomat, and former Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations. Career Mohiuddin headed the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong from 1 August 1980 to 30 November 1982. In 1987, Mohiuddin was the Deputy Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York City. On 29 June 1990, Mohiuddin was appointed the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations. Mohiuddin served as the Director of Economic Affairs at the Organization of Islamic Conferences. Mohiuddin is the chairperson of the Board of Directors of Grameen Bitek. Roushan Ershad (born 19 July 1943) is a Bangladesh Jatiya Party politician. She is the current Jatiya Sangsad member from Mymensingh-4 constituency and the incumbent Leader of the Opposition in the 11th parliament. She is the Chief Patron of the Jatiya Party (Ershad) and the widow of former Bangladesh president Hussain Muhammad Ershad. Lt. Gen. Hussain Muhammad Ershad ( bn, হুসেইন মুহাম্মদ এরশাদ; 1 February 1930 – 14 July 2019) was a Bangladeshi Army Chief politician who served as the President of Bangladesh from 1983 to 1990, a time many consider to have been a military dictatorship. He seized power as head of the army during a bloodless coup against President Abdus Sattar on 24 March 1982 (by imposing martial law and suspending the Constitution). He declared himself President in 1983, and subsequently won the controversial 1986 Bangladeshi presidential election. Despite claims to have legitimately won the 1986 election, many consider his regime as an era of military dictatorship. Mashiur Rahman (9 July 1924 12 March 1979), also known as Jadu Mia (Man of Magic), was a senior minister, with the rank and status of prime minister in charge of the Ministry of Railways, Roads and Highways of Bangladesh from 29 June 1978 to 12 March 1979.
