A.S. Rodos
Athlitikos Syllogos Rodos (; ) is a Greek football club based in Rhodes, South Aegean, Greece. History Rodos was founded in 1968 after the merger of Diagoras, Rodiakos and Dorieas. Her first participation in a professional championship was in 1969 at the 2nd National. After nine years in 1978, he managed to compete in the first national division. In 1985, while Rhodes split with Diagoras and all of its core body was moved to the national team, the team competed in the Second National and by 1988 had slipped into the 2nd National. In 1994 it re-merged with Diagoras and created the Enosis Rodos-Diagoras. The union lasted only four years and in 1998 the Rhodes team was re-established. The highlight of this new endeavor was the team's involvement in the Second Nationals in the 2009–10 season. Diagoras Stadium
The Municipal Stadium of Rhodes "Diagoras" (former national), with its original Italian name Arena Del Sole, is a football and cycling stadium in the city of Rhodes and is the seat of the General Assembly of Diagoras Rhodes and AS. 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki
The 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki was the 37th season since the official establishment of the championship in 1983, but the 1st season as the fourth tier of the Greek Football. It will start on 22 September 2019. After the finish of the eight groups, the first team of each group will qualify for a playoff round of two groups, to determine which two teams will be promoted to Football League. 106 teams are divided into eight groups according to geographical criteria. Only for Group 8 after the end of the regular season will be held play-off and play-out games. The top four teams will participate in the play-off round and the first team will be the champion of the group and will be qualifying to 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki play-offs second group. The last five teams will participate in play-out games and the last will be relegated. The 2008–09 Gamma Ethniki was the 26th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It started on September 14, 2008 and finished on May 3, 2009. 36 teams contest the league, divided into two groups of 18 clubs each, using certain geographical criteria. 23 of the participant clubs have contested in the 2007-08 season, 3 of them have been relegated from Beta Ethniki, while 10 of them have been promoted from Delta Ethniki. 2006–07 Gamma Ethniki
The 2006–07 Gamma Ethniki was the 24th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. Agios Dimitrios and Pierikos were crowned champions in ''South'' and ''North'' Group respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. ASK Olympiacos won the third promotion ticket after defeating Rodos 2-1 in a single play-off match at Municipal Ground of Peristeri between the two groups' second-placed teams. Paniliakos, OF Ierapetra, PAO Varda, Zakynthos, Androutsos Gravia, Nafpaktiakos Asteras and Doxa Gratini were finally relegated to Delta Ethniki or the Regional Championship. The highlight of the season was a match in penultimate round in which Apollon Smyrni's fans made serious incidents against Paniliakos. 1980–81 Beta Ethniki
The 1980–81 Beta Ethniki season was 22nd edition of second tier nationwide championship of Greece. Forty teams participated in the league, divided in two groups, the ''South and the North Group''. Iraklis was named champion of the North Group and got promoted to the Alpha Ethniki. In the South Group Egaleo and Rodos tied and a play-off match, that found Rodos victorious by a 1-0 scoreline, decided the team that was named champion of the South Group and got promoted to the Alpha Ethniki. On the other hand, Pelopas Kiato, Olympiakos Neon Liosion, AO Patra and Panarkadikos got relegated to the C National Amateur Division from the South Group. The Gamma Ethniki (, C National Division) is the Greek football league system, third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. On 3 August 2010, it was announced that the division had been renamed ''Football League 2''.
